The Municipal Camping of Alexandroupolis is an organized campsite which operates in compliance with the Special Operation Mark of Organised Campsites, a document issued by the Greek National Tourism Organisation. The Municipal Camping can accommodate up to 216 wheeled equipment/vehicle pitches and 648 people in full capacity.
Alexandroupolis Municipal Camping is just a few hundred meters from the city center and just 2.2 km from Alexandroupolis port and 7.9 km from Dimokritos Airport.
It is one of the most appealing and well organised campsites in Greece, providing quiet and comfortable accommodation. Recreational areas, the Traffic Training Park, the Open Air Cinema and restaurants are available within short walking distance.
Premises
Residents can enjoy swimming in the sea, or the shade provided in the premises of the camping beach. You can also find a self-service restaurant, a mini market, a basketball and tennis court, and a tourist information centre. Our facilities are friendly for people with special needs and mobility problems and their accessibility is ensured. During the summer months, the area is guarded at evening hours.
The campsite is located directly in the town and by the sea. There are covered shady pitches for WOMOs and sunny pitches for tents (logical as always). Mini market and taverna (WIFI) available. Many permanent campers. Clean sanitary facilities. Shower, parasols and pavilions available for ALL free of charge on the beach. Only negative – no cooling facilities for campers, WIFI available from the campsite but never accessible. . Shopping possibility – drive 1km inland – LIDL.
