Mistakes Beginners Make When Camping in a Motorhome #1

There’s so much to plan, organise and keep in mind before your first outing with a motorhome. Despite all the instruction manuals and checklists, there are always a few mistakes (that can happen to anyone, beginners and experienced campers alike!) that can spoil your holiday. You’ve worked hard, and you deserve a lovely holiday, so we don’t want anything to keep you from enjoying your camping adventure to the fullest. That’s why we’ve put together this list of seven of the most common mistakes that beginners make as well as some tips from camping experts.

Completely filling the water tank before heading out

A motorhome’s water tank can hold between 95 and 170 litres of water. Each extra litre means additional weight, and that means poorer fuel efficiency for your motorhome. Experienced campers only fill their tank as much as they’ll need for the trip itself. They then fill up either at the campsite or at a petrol station shortly before arriving at their destination.
